WHY GET ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
As we smile, laugh, frown and raise our eyebrows; the muscles in our face contract. These repeated facial expressions cause the skin to contract and lines and wrinkles to appear.

Dynamic Wrinkles are lines that appear on facial movement; for example; when frowning and raising eyebrows. Dynamic lines are are not visible when your face is at rest.
Static Wrinkles are lines that are visible when your face is at rest. These lines are deeply engrained. It is important to recognise that these lines will not disappear – they will soften and treatment will help prevent them from becoming more prominent.

HOW DOES ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS WORK?
Anti wrinkle injections blocks the transition of chemical messages from the nerve to the treated muscle, so that the muscle stays in a resting state for a period of 8 to 12 weeks on average, but can sometimes be longer.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU TREAT AT LORELLA AESTHETICS?

ANTI WRINKLE INJECTION RESULTS:
Results can start to be seen at 2-7 days post treatment. However it takes a full 14 days to see the finalised result. Results tend to last 3-4 months. Movement will begin recovering from 8 weeks. Results can vary dependant on the individual based on- condition of the skin, area treated, lifestyle factors such as sun exposure and smoking, age, etc.

TREATMENT FREQUENCY:
After your initial treatment, you will be invited for a review appointment, which is between day 14-21 after your initial appointment. This is to review the effectiveness of the medication, and to see if any additional doses are required. After the 21 day period, we cannot re-treat the areas until 12 weeks (3months) post initial treatment dose.
Frequent treatment at intervals of less than 3 months is not recommended. Repeating treatment when movement recovers will deliver optimum results over time. Should you choose not to maintain the results and not have further treatment, your muscles and skin will return to their pre-treatment state

Anti wrinkle injections are a prescription only medication meaning that you can only obtain the treatment after having a face to face consultation with our Nurse Prescriber.

You will not be able to have your treatment until your suitability for treatment has been assessed. To book you will need to book a prescribing consultation first.
